Multifamily Highrise; 12, 13, and 15-storey towers at 359, 363, and 369 Tyee Rd, Victoria, BC. Three towers with total of 365 homes for resale. Start 2020, completion 2023.
APPLICATIONS
High volume of wall and ceiling access panels with short lead times. Custom bathroom ceiling access for air handlers and other equipment in tightly packed plenums. Custom wall access in public corridors with security concerns. Highest possible finishes and acoustic barriers in homes and public areas.
SOLUTIONS
PRODUCTS
1200 access panels, in standard and custom sizes, with keyed locks for public corridors, and larger panels for access to HVAC system in each home.
SERVICE
BAUCO arranged for separate delivery of outer frames in advance of door leaves. This allowed trades to complete ceiling installation without delay and gave mechanical trades more space in confined bathrooms during commissioning of equipment. Once factory finished BAUCO paint ready leaves arrived, trades only had to hang them into the frame for final paint-out. BAUCO was also able to supply installation aides which allow frames to be hung from studs/joists prior to boarding and final fastening to the surrounding drywall. This process and productivity tool was much appreciated by the crew managers.
