Are custom sizes for the BAUCO Plus II available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The models with gypsum board inlay (BAUCO Plus and BAUCO Plus II) are frequently customized. We can build the BAUCO Plus II in dimensions of 6" x 6" (152.4 x 152.4 mm) and up.

Are the concealed touch latches strong enough?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The latches are mechanical and not magnetic. Each individual latch is rated for over 50 lbs (22.68 kg) and the number of latches varies with the door size. For example, a 24" x 24" (609.6 x 609.6 mm) door weighs only 14 lbs (6.35 kg) and has two latches.

Can BAUCO Plus II access doors be installed in walls or ceilings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All BAUCO Plus II doors can be installed in both walls and ceilings. For larger custom-sized openings, we need to know at the time of your order where the panel will be installed so that we can configure some hardware items accordingly.

Can BAUCO Plus II access panels be covered with different finishes and treatments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The BAUCO Plus II can receive treatments of tile, wall coverings, tongue and groove wood, fabrics, stucco, plaster, etc. Really, the door is an extension of the surrounding gypsum board surface.

Can you make large custom doors, such as 32" x 48.5" (812.8 x 1231.9 mm)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We produce custom doors all the time. For larger sizes, the door leaf may be divided into two or more segments (for example, a 48" x 60" /1219.2 x 1524 mm into two leaves 48" x 30" /1219.2 x 762 mm). Some constraints exist, so it is best if we know as much as possible about your application. Call and inquire about your custom door requirements.

How quickly can I get my doors?

Accepted Answer

Small orders, within days; large orders, within a few weeks. In any case, you will receive detailed information on all options. The detailed quotations that we provide include value of goods, estimated lead time from date of order, and cost and transit times for a variety of shipping options to help you get your panels when you need them. Custom-sized door orders may vary a little more, but on average will not add more than a couple of days to each of the approximate ranges. We are happy to work with your schedule to help you keep your project on track.

Because our doors are highly customizable, we prefer to manufacture and distribute our own product. We ship worldwide daily and have very competitive shipping rates and a variety of shipping options.
