About BAUCO

For over 25 years we have been designing and manufacturing architecturally clean access panels solutions. BAUCO is based in Victoria, BC, Canada, just north of Seattle, WA. We distribute our products directly to customers and jobsites in North and Central America and the Caribbean.

At BAUCO we pride ourselves on being the most customer-responsive supplier of access panels in the industry. We listen to our customers, consult with them, and maintain production capacity and agility. This allows us to provide short lead times, customization and superior delivery logistics.

Architects, designers and owners love our products because they are functional and visually appealing. Contractors appreciate our proactive approach to managing the entire factory-to-jobsite process.

People

From entrepreneurial beginnings in basements, attics, and a garage, to our current offices and manufacturing facilities in Victoria, BC (70 staff and counting), our people make BAUCO the company it is today.

BAUCO Academy

BAUCO Academy is our internal education process. The goal of the Academy is to train our team to a level of fluency in understanding our products, the industry and our customers’ needs. It also promotes agility with our business tools, and a confidence and pride in our skills.

BAUCO Academy gives our team the tools they need to help our clients succeed. What is embodied carbon? Understanding our customer’s challenges. What is new in wall and ceiling construction technology? We are constantly expanding the scope of BAUCO Academy to provide our team with knowledge and understanding of these areas and countless others that affect our operations.

History

BAUCO has been around since 1995 when Bauco Products Incorporated was registered. Here are some of the major milestones on the way to what our team is doing today.

1995
BAUCO Products Incorporated is registered in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada and begins product development and market research activities.
1997
BAUCO relocates to Victoria, BC, Canada and enlarges its network of suppliers and subcontractors.
1998
Launch of the BAUCO plus model and first sale of an access panel in Canada.
1999
Recognition for product innovation, Construct Canada, Toronto, ON.
2000
BAUCO supplies the first highrise project (Hyatt Hotel) with drywall access panels. Calgary, AB
2000
APS Access Panel Solutions Inc is formed as an international marketing arm of BAUCO
2001
BAUCO's first overseas shipment. Supply of two container loads to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
2006
More solutions for our customers. Two new models introduced: BAUCO plus II and BAUCO softline
2009
BAUCO moves to new facility, trippling its size to accommodate expanding production, development, sales, and marketing teams
2013
Lauch of new model BAUCO air, architectural bar grille for air return use
2014
BAUCO Products Incorporated and APS Access Panel Solutions Inc are amalgameted into BAUCO Access Panel Solutions Inc.
2016
BAUCO expands its facilities into newly renovated building at 834 Devonshire Road, doubling its office and manufacturing space
2018
The whole team and our community celebrate 20 year anniversary of first sale of a BAUCO access panel.
2020
New model BAUCO XL is introduced. Allows for extra-large functional wall access doors.
2020
COVID-19 viral disease is declared a pandemic. The BAUCO team responds with multiple control measures to ensure employee safety, enable continued service of our customers, and keep the entire team employed throughout the pandemic.
2023
25 years since the first access panel was shipped. The team of 70 employees celebrates with a string of events throughout the year.
