Say goodbye to access panel callbacks
There’s nothing worse than finishing a job, only to get a callback a few weeks or months later because something’s gone wrong. Here’s how BAUCO’s quality control practices prevent that from happening:
1. Quality of parts – BAUCO’s access panels are made from high-quality materials. We source robust aluminum extrusion and strong steel components made with post-industrial recycled content, mold/moisture resistant drywall, and reliable mechanical touch latches.

2. Quality of design – BAUCO’s line of customizable access panels are virtually invisible, with only a 1/16” reveal when installed. We have models to suit every application: the BAUCO Plus, the BAUCO Plus II, the BAUCO XL, and the BAUCO Air grille. To complement our customizable solutions, we also have the BAUCO Rondo and the BAUCO Softline, which are available in a range of standard sizes.
More than half the panels BAUCO ships are customized: a slightly odd size, extra large, extra small, L-shaped, round, multi-leaf, specialty board inlay, security hardware. Our signature product, the BAUCO Plus II, can be finished on-site with paint, tile, wood, or wallpaper to disappear into the surrounding surface.
BAUCO’s proprietary testing machines ensure our panels and latches are top-quality.
As part of the product design process, we use our in-house designed and built automated access panel tester (much like the famous Ikea furniture tester) to cycle the operation of the panels hundreds of times to ensure that BAUCO access panels will maintain smooth operation throughout their service life. We also perform automated latch testing on our touch latch assemblies. During the product design and selection process, we test our touch latches thousands of times, to ensure that we exceed the strength and operation requirements for all our access panel applications.
3. Quality of production – BAUCO’s production team conducts regular quality checks after each manufacturing step, checking for consistency and looking for any non-conformance. (Is that screw a bit high? Is that corner perfectly square?). We continue touch latch testing so 100% of all touch latches used on our access panels meet our performance expectations. Finally, Bauco’s Quality Management System samples panels on the production line, to produce a daily quality metric for generating and sustaining our continuous improvement efforts.

4. Quality of shipping – After all the care and attention we spend building the access panel, we’re not about to let it get damaged in transit. After cracking open our custom-built shipping crate recently, @Sommerbrothers posted on Instagram, “When your shipping game is next level! @baucoaps makes this amazing BAUCO Plus II access solution that can also survive a 4000km trip across the country.”
5. Quality of service – At BAUCO, we’ve got your back. We support our customers from first contact to successful project completion. Got a tricky application? We’ll customize or even redesign a panel to make it work. Need two crates of access panels delivered every second week to a jobsite in Texas? We’ll make it happen. It’s no wonder that 85% of our work is repeat business from happy customers!
Overall, BAUCO’s quality control is second to none, and we offer an unconditional guarantee to prove it: We guarantee that you will be satisfied with the quality of our products or we will refund your money.
